NCO Training weekend

Details have been completed for our NCO Training weekend to be held Friday evening at the Stouffville Legion, 150 Mostar, Stouffville and Saturday the the CO's residence 16874 McCowan Road, Cedar Valley. This training is for all cadets in Level 3 or higher.

Summer Course Information

Cadets attending six week courses at CSTC Trenton have the following returning travel orders.

Registration and Lottery tickets

There are still cadets who have not returned lottery tickets and/or paid registration fees. This needs to be complete NOW. The CO will be speaking to cadets that have not completed this.

Parent Information Night

A reminder to all parents as per our newsletter, there will be a parent information night Tuesday Sept. 25, 2012. We will discuss status of the squadron, upcoming events, and summer course opportunities.

Christmas Wrap fund raiser

Our forth annual Christmas gift wrap fund raiser will be held at Walmart. Dates are Nov. 30 and Dec 1. Cadets times are Saturday mornings and afternoons and Sunday after noons. Stouffville Santa Claus Parade - Dec 7, 2013

We will be serving Stouffville again this year in the Santa Claus Day Parade. The date and times are Dec 7, 2013 at 1:00pm. Parade starts at 2pm..

Remembrance Day Parade - 6 Nov. 2011

Marksmanship classes

The next marksmanship class will be Feb 11, 2012 at the Stouffville Legion at 9am till noon and Monday Feb. 13, 2012 6:30pm to 9pm. No sign up is required for this event. Team selection for the zone short will start with this practice.

Poppy Drive - Oct 29, 30

We will be supporting our Legion and our veterans with the poppy drive this year. The dates are Oct 29, 30. Lunch money will be provide for cadets who tag all day. Similar to tagging Saturday will be from 9 am to 6pm and Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
If you did not tag this event is mandatory. We expect all cadets to participate. We need a minimum of 14 cadets per shift.

Halloween Party

This years Halloween Party with be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, October 28, 2011 from 6 to 9 pm. There will be a prize for the top costume. Friends are invited at a cost of $5 each. Cadets are no charge.

Calling all Parents

Our second Annual General Meeting will be October 4, 2011 at 7pm.  We will be discussing the up coming training year.  We will review the roles and responsibilities of our staff, cadets, and squadron sponsoring committee. Bring your questions  and your camera's. Our junior cadet promotions for level 2, 3 and 4 cadets will be following the meeting.

Flying Scholarship

The last Flying Scholarship class will be at the Stouffville Legion, Thursday January 5, 2012 starting at 1830 hrs. It is mandatory for any one wanting to apply for glider or power scholarships. The mock exam will be Friday January 13, 2012 at Harry Bowes P.S. starting at 1830 hrs.

Fall Tagging

Fall tagging took place the weekend for Sept 30, Oct 1 and 2. It was very successful thanks to all the cadets who came out and the support of the Stouffville Legion for the use of their building all weekend.

Registration night

Registration for new cadets continues each Tuesday night starting Sept 20, 2011 6:30PM at the Oscar Peterson P.S., 850 Hover Park Dr. Stouffville. Don't forget health card and birth certificate originals and copies to complete your paper work.

Our first training night for returning cadets will be Sept 6, 2011 6:30PM at the Royal Canadian Legion, 150 Mostar. If you need replacement uniform parts bring them with you for exchange. It will be civilian dress for this meeting. Don't forget health cards.

Canadian International Air Show - Sep 3 to 5, 2011

For the first time in several years cadets will be participating in the Canadian International Air Show. Cadets will assist in recruiting activities as well as selling programs for the airshow. Cadets have an opportunity to make some money as well as visit the CNE for free. To sign up click here

Summer Course Information Meeting - Jun 21

There well be a short meeting on June 21 for distribute the remainder of PT Gear, Joining instructions and any further information we have by then for summer courses.

The meeting with be at the Stouffville Legion on Mostar Street starting at 6:30 pm and will last 30 to 40 minutes.Parents should attend as well. Dress in appropriate civilian clothes.

1st Annual Ceremonial Review

We will be holdling our 1st Annual Ceremonial Review June 4, 2011 being at 6 PM at the Stouffville Arena on 9th Line Stouffville. All family and friends are invited. Our Reviewing Officer will be Witchurch-Stouffvillle Fire Chief Rob McKenzie.

Annual Awards Dinner

Our first annual awards dinner will be held May 24, 2011 at Boston Pizza near Hoover Park Dr. and Hwy 48. Dinner will started at 6:30pm. Tickets are be available at a cost of $15 per cadet. Next Tuesday May 17, 2011 is the last night to buy tickets. Family and friends are welcome. Dinner is Mess Dress for officers, C1 with medals for cadets and business formal for quests.
