Remembrance Day Parade - 10 Nov 2013

We will be participating in the Remembrance Day parade again this year. For Band and Flag Party this is a mandatory parade. We would like to see every cadet out to support our veterans.

Poppy Drive

We will be assisting in the Legion Poppy drive on Nov 2, 3 from 9am to 5pm each day. We will do signups the next two Tuesday nights. Locations will be assigned on each day at the Legion. As always if you are out all day lunch money will be provided.

New Band members

We are looking for new members for the band. There are spaces available for flute, clarinet, alto sax, tenor sax, trombone, baritone and percussion players. We provide the instruments! Sign up on Monday nights with CI Chan at Harry Bowes P.S. at 18:30.

Supply will be at the Legion on May 12, 2014 from 1830 hrs until 2030 hrs.

Fall Tagging

Fall tagging will be October 4,5,6 2013. Final signups will be taken on parade night Oct 1 2013. Tagging is mandatory for all cadets. A minimum of eight hours as required.

There will be a supply night for returning cadets who need replacing parts, on September 30, 2013 1830 hrs at the Stouffville Legion.
You must bring the old parts to exchange.

Registration of New cadets for 2012-2013

We will be starting registration for new cadets on Sept 18, 2012 at Oscar Peterson Public School. When you arrive speak to Officer Cadet Hodgins to register your new cadets. If you miss the 18th we will continue to take registrations on Tuesday nights until the end of the year or registration is full.

New Training year start up

We trust everyone had a great summer and congratulate those who when to summer courses.

Our first meeting for returning cadets will be September 10, 2012 at starting at 6:30pm. We should be finished by 8pm. We will discuss training year and hand out medical questionnaires for this year. They are due back September 17, 2012. We will be at Oscar Peterson Public School. All personal information must be confirmed with the administration officer and any supply requests made to the supply officer.

Regular Training will start Sept 17, 2012 at Oscar Peterson Public School.

Stouffville Moonlight Madness Event

The event takes place August 23, 2012 at Nineteen on the Park – Civic Square area between 6:30 and 9:00 pm. We will have information and registration from new cadets.

Strawberry Festival 2013

We are participating in the Stouffville Strawberry Festival again this year on Saturday June 29, 2013 from 9am to 5pm. Cadets who stay all day will be provided lunch money. We are looking for at least two cadets in the morning and afternoon to assist with recruiting.

Freedom of the Town - June 16

We have been invited to participate in the Freedom of the Town event organized by our MP, The Honorable Paul Calandra on June 16, 2012 from 10am to 12pm. Cadets should arrive not later the 9:00am. This will offer Freedom of the Town for the day the the Governor Generals House Guards Regiment. We will assist the event by handing out flag and pins to the crowd as well as assisting VIPs.

Uniform Preparation night - 24 May 2012

There will be a uniform preparation night for Annual review readiness on May 24, 2012 starting from 6:00pm to 8pm. It will be held at the Stouffville Legion 150 Mostar Street.

Annual Ceremonial Review - June 7

707 Marion Orr CM Squadron's 3rd Annual Ceremonial will be held June 7, 2014 at Stouffville Arena and Community Centre, 12483 NINTH LINE, STOUFFVILLE, NORTH OF MAIN ST.
This a mandatory parade for all cadets. Cadets should arrive at 1300 hrs for set up and practice. Guests should arrive at 1800 hrs for a parade start at 1830 hrs.

Fall FTX - October 25-27, 2013

Details have been completed for our spring FTX weekend to be held at CFB Borden on October 25-27,2013. Cadet must arrive at the Legion no later the 1730 hrs. Each cadet is required to attend one FTX each year to complete their level. We have room for all cadets.

Annual Fire Hall Open House - May 10, 2014

We are participating once again in the Fire Hall Open House to recruit new members for next year. We need 5 to 6 cadets for the morning and again in the afternoon. Lunch will be provided for those who stay all day (10am to 2pm).

Town Hall Tour - Tuesday April 17, 2012

We will not be at Oscar Peterson P.S. for parade night. We will be taking a tour of Stouffville Town Hall.
111 Sandiford Drive, Stouffville.

The tour will start at 7pm start. Cadets should arrive by 6:45pm.

Gliding - June 1, 2014

Our Spring Gliding day is scheduled for June 1, 2014 from 0800 hrs to 1230 hrs. A bus will be provided from the Stouffville Legion.

Awards Dinner

Our 2012 Awards Dinner will be at the Stouffville Legion, 150 Mostar, on May 8, 2012. Tickets will be available staring April 10, 2012. Cadets are $15 each, family and friends are $20 each. Deadline for tickets is May 1, 2012. No exceptions and no tickets at the door. Dress is full dress with medals.

As part of our on going effort to keep parents informed we will be holding our next parent information night Jan 15, 2013 beginning at 7 PM. We will be discussing upcoming events, summer course process and more.
